Industrial Painter General Scope: To prepare, prime and paint materials and machines.
Industrial Painter Position Summary:
* Will operate HVLP spray guns.
* Have knowledge of mixing and spraying enamels, epoxies and urethanes.
* Keeps all spray guns, equipment, Paint booths and shop areas clean.
* Prepare machines and materials for painting.
* Will operate forklifts.
* Have knowledge of rebuilding, tearing down and cleaning paint equipment.
Industrial Painter Education: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in spray painting.
Industrial Painter Skills: Incumbent must demonstrate or participate in internal/external training programs to obtain the following skills:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
* Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
