Delivery Managers serve as the Chief Scrum Master across all delivery teams within a product. Delivery Managers are responsible for managing the communication across program stakeholders, defining mitigation strategies to remediate risks & issues, and assisting teams to ensure that the value being delivered aligns to the product vision defined by our business partners and CDS.
This Delivery Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Warehouse Business Solutions Merchandise Systems POD and System Administration POD supporting solutions. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple initiatives concurrently, effectively balancing scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder engagement and vendor management to ensure high-quality project outcomes. In addition to project leadership, the Delivery Manager will play a key outward-facing role, managing financial tracking, stakeholder relationships, and supporting Product Owners, while providing clear, timely communication and progress reporting to senior leadership and the broader organization. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring disciplined project execution and delivery of measurable business value.

ROLE
● Leads end-to-end project management for complex initiatives from project initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, closure, and helps with the allocation of resources and provides teams with the necessary support to remediate impediments and reported issues.
● Creates weekly reports highlighting the health of the overall delivery status to program leadership and various stakeholders.
● Coordinates the resolution of internal and external dependencies across pods, value streams, and shared services.
● Aggregates individual delivery pod status into portfolio-level risks, assumptions, and interdependencies
● Supports problem resolution, resolves issues, and acts on feedback and usage of in-life products.
● Understands the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework and works with the team to measure outcomes.
● Manages budgets, SOW’s, and works through the approval process for Governance and financial review.
● Works with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to plan release schedules across products.
● Fosters collaboration between the delivery pods and stakeholders at the product level.
● Manages delivery team metrics to evaluate progress against delivery milestones.
● Leads regular “Scrum-of-Scrum” meetings with Scrum Masters from all product teams to drive alignment across development activities and review blockers or impediments impacting team productivity.
● Facilitates program increment (PI) sessions across all delivery pods aligned to a product, or value stream, and the accompanying planning sessions (pre and post PI planning sessions).
● Supports product teams with the delivery of new features and capabilities while empowering them and allowing them to be self-organized and optimizes delivery processes.
● Drives and maintains the delivery of long-term cross-functional strategy, including capacity management, report lifecycle management, and priority management.
● Confirms that the team meets security and governance requirements, as well as understands engineering delivery processes and change management
● Drives tactical day-to-day delivery process, including removing impediments that negatively impact productivity or block the team’s process.
● Supports the Product Manager with the facilitation of system demos to demonstrate the integration of products to program stakeholders.
● Ensures effective communication, collaboration, coordination, and team engagement in initiatives that cut across portfolios and products.
● Leads program increment retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities that can be implemented to improve productivity.
● Investigates, manages, and applies authorized requests for changes to base-lined scope
● Manages and escalates issues and concerns related to compliance and security to appropriate stakeholders.
● Sets clear expectations for self and others and takes appropriate actions to ensure obligations are met.
● Manages Quarterly Business Review Meetings with our vendors and business partners.
● Manages clear and specific contractual terms for required project work with suppliers.
REQUIRED
● 5+ years’ experience as a Delivery Manager and/or Program/Project Manager leading development teams in an Agile and Waterfall environment.
● Experience developing project standards, creating project dashboards, and devising health metrics that provide information necessary to make project adjustments and executive level decisions.
● Demonstrates leadership and team-building skills with ability to influence and motivate team members that report to other groups in the organization.
● Understands Resource Management and the value of the resource management, and may practice one or more behaviors associated with the skill.
● Experience managing project financials, supplier contracts, and budgets across a program or portfolio of projects.
● Proven track record for successful delivery of projects and working cross-functionally with business and IT.
● Experience designing and implementing Agile development processes, particularly Scaled Agile practices.
● Expert in Agile processes, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, providing guidance and best practices for the team.
● Ability to create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and report critical paths.
● Extremely responsive, with a strong sense of urgency, and work with a positive attitude.
● Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills.
● Experience managing risks, issues, decisions across the program landscape.
● Ability to problem solve and devise workable solutions quickly.
● Excellent and effective delegation skills, with strong follow-up skills.
● Able to flex to support the changing needs of the project.
Recommended
● Proficient in the use of project management tools such as ServiceNow Portfolio & Program management module, SmartSheet, and/or MS Project.
● Experience in agile management tools such as ServiceNow Scrum Programs module or Azure Dev Ops.
● PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe RTE certifications.
